  My name is Kay Turner and I am engaged at Framingham Earl High School as Volunteer Coordiinator and Community Sports Coach.  My passion for sport has mainly stemmed from my experiences within the Basketball world.  I played English schools basketball upto the age of 19 and then continued playing Division 1 and Division 2 National League until a break in my career to have a shoulder operation and a family.  I could never imagine a life without sport, and my passion continued with my children who became competitive swimmers.  I truly believe that everyone can enjoy sport whether actively playing, officiating or just helping behind the scenes or indeed watching! 

   

  I have two different roles within FEHS Sports Partnership, one is as a coach, to hopefully improve the involvement of students within the partnership and my other role is to try to promote active volunteering within school sports clubs and sports clubs within the local area. 

   

  Since being employed at FEHS with help from the staff/community we have managed to win several county schools basketball trophies.  Also now based at FEHS is a Community Basketball Club with 4 teams (2 mens and 2 womens teams) competiting within the local basketball league. Wildcats Basketball Club has close links with all schools within the South Norfolk School Sports Partnership.
