South Norfolk School Sport Partnership delivers a number of projects to develop the leaders and volunteers of the future. Volunteers make a big contribution to life in the UK. Twenty two million adults are involved in formal volunteering each year providing 90 million hours of formal voluntary work each week. This volunteering is estimated to be worth £40 billion per year.
Sport plays a special part in young people's volunteering. It is the most popular volunteering activity, 47% of volunteering undertaken by young people is in a sporting setting. The sports sector accounts for 26% of all volunteering, and volunteers are vital to the success of our national sporting life.
Our aim is to increase the quality, quantity and diversity of young people engaged in volunteering and leadership within Partnership schools.
A programme of high quality training and development for young people who are committed to actively volunteering within their school and/ or community in order to develop leadership skills and voluntary experience.
