Description

This event forms part of the Norfolk School Games.

Entry is via the cluster qualifying competitions with one school progressing to the partnership event per cluster.

Format:

This event is for schools with 120 pupils or less in Reception to Year 6. Schools are invited to bring a squad of 12 with 6 boys and 6 girls from Y4-6.

Each pupil can take part in a maximum of 2 track and 2 field events from the following:

Track events

* 1 + 1 relay (2 girls & 2 boys)

* 2 + 2 relay (2 girls & 2 boys)

* Obstacle relay (4 girls & 4 boys)

* 4 x 1-lap relay (4 girls & 4 boys)

Field events

* Chest Push (2 girls & 2 boys)

* Foam Javelin (2 girls & 2 boys)

* Speed Bounce (2 girls & 2 boys)

* Standing Long Jump (2 girls & 2 boys)

* Standing Triple Jump (2 girls & 2 boys)

* Vertical Jump (2 girls & 2 boys)

Timings:

9:30 am     Arrival/Registration

9:45 am     Welcome & Briefing

10:00 am - 12:00 pm     Competition

12:15 pm     Results & Presentation

12:30 pm     Departure

Medals will be presented to the members of the winning team and certificates to those finishing in 2nd and 3rd place.

The winning team will then be invited to represent the South Norfolk SSP at the Norfolk School Games Sportshall Athletics Finals on Monday 26th February 2018 at the Sportspark, UEA.

Photo/Video Consent:

We use a variety of digital and social media to promote all of our events including our SSP website, Facebook/Twitter profiles. Please ensure you make SSP staff aware of any children without photo/video consent prior to the start of the event. These children will be asked to wear a yellow armband throughout the event which will indicate that no photographs/videos should be taken of them.
