Slam Dunk de South norfolk!

Tuesday 21st January saw the South Norfolk School Sport Partnership U14 Boys Basketball Tournament at the UEA Sportspark. This tournament acted as the feeder to the Norfolk County Final which feeds into a regional final, Hobart, Old Buckenham and two Framingham Earl teams competed in a double round robin.

A closely contested tournament saw Framingham Earl A pip Hobart and Old Buckenham to 1st Place. Old Buckenham finished second on goal difference to Hobart. Hobart who enjoyed a close 4-3 victory against their rivals, avenging their 4-8 defeat in the 1st round.

 Congratulations go to Framingham Earl A who go through to represent the South Norfolk School Sport Partnership at the County Finals. 

Kay Turner, Schools Basketball Representative said, ‘It is great to have Basketball competitions like this or our children. Playing in facilities like this creates a real sporting experience for children to enjoy.’ 

Stuart Brunton-Douglas, Competition Manager added, 

’It was a very enjoyable tournament, played in a friendly yet competitive atmosphere. I cannot thank our volunteer referees enough. They play such a key role in ensuring a fair and organised competition and we could not run this without them.’
