Y5/6 Sportshall

The week of 25th January has seen South Norfolk’s primary schools competing in the Y5/6 Sportshall Athletics Cluster events.

With the county final just around the corner and the 2012 Olympic Games around a few corners later, South Norfolk youngsters got a taste of things to come with Sportshall, the introduction to Athletics.

Congratulations go to Burston Primary School who are the overall winners and go through to represent South Norfolk at the County Final. In second place well done to Brooke followed by St Mary’s Primary School.

Energise the partnership bear was away talent ID’ing for the monday event but was very impressed with the enthusiasm, levels of performance and team working shown at the Wednesday and Friday competitions.

A huge thank you to all the leaders who ran each of the stations, it is great to have them leading the activities and providing tips to the youngsters taking part.

Thank you also to Ron Marsh, Paul Evans, Rosemary Bloom, Sally Levy and Isla McFadyen for your support throughout.
