The first week in February saw two KS1 Dance festivals running at Long Stratton and Archbishop Sancroft High Schools.
Young leaders from both high schools spent some time with Kate Garwood (dance coach) to put together a routine for the KS1 pupils in both clusters.
Once all the pupils had arrived a mass warm up was led by Kate and the leaders. Pupils soon got in to the swing of things and were eager to be put in to their groups and begin their routines. The leaders explained the movements and worked closely with the younger pupils to make sure everyone was achieving. The pupils came up with some great ideas for their finishing positions.
All the groups performed infront of the other groups at the end and it was brilliant to see their individual interpretations.
A big thank you should go to the leaders and Kate for leading the session with so much enthusiam.
