On a very cold and wet Tuesday afternoon the schools from the Old Buckenham Cluster had the opportunity to compete in a cross country event. Unfortunately due to the weather a few schools were put off but Banham Primary, Kenninghall Primary and Old Buckenham Primary braved the weather. There were various competitions from year 3 boys and girls all the way up to year 6 boys and girls.
We were very lucky to have 10,000m Olympic finalist and Chicago Marathon winner Paul Evans attending the event giving a bit of advise to the runners and then stayed till the end to hand out the medals.
Every competitor was counted in the final results as an average was taken. In third place was Kenninghall Primary, second place Old Buckenham Primary and in first place Banham Primary.
I would like to say a big well done to all competitors as they all ran very well even in the tricky circumstances. The event was a great success and I would like to thank Coach Ron who set the course for me and to all the Old Buckenham High School pupils who helped out on the day.
