September saw Hobart High School host the South Norfolk Y8 B/C Football Competition. Framingham Earl, Hobart and Diss took part in a closely contested double round robin.
Enjoying an Indian like summer, PE staff and young leaders enjoyed a night of some excellent defensive displays with 7 clean sheets being kept.
With points totals level at the end of the day as well as goals scored, Hobart and Diss were separated by the ‘least goals conceded ruling’ of just one goal.
Congratulations must go to Diss High School who just pipped Hobart to first place with 10 points. Framingham Earl finished 3rd with 4 points. Diss will now go through to represent the partnership at the County Final.
A PE Spokesman said, ‘’This is what makes teaching so rewarding. Having these opportunities for children who are not in the 1st team to play competitive football is fantastic.’’
