Description

This event forms part of the Norfolk School Games.

 

Entry for the SSP competition is open by booking via the SSP website.

 

The competition will be running in two sessions, school can sign up for either the morning session ( this session) or the afternoon session.

 

Format:

Schools are invited to bring a squad of 10 players. Schools can enter teams from Years 1 and/or 2 or years 3 and/or 4. Schools can enter teams for both age groups.  Please confirm the age group you are entering. Teams consist of 5 boys and 5 girls.

 

The event will work on a circuit format, with 8 team scoring stations.

 

Schools will have between 2-3 minutes to practice on each station and then 5 minutes scoring time.

Timings for morning session

9:30 am     Arrival/Registration

9:45 am     Welcome & Briefing

10:00 am - 12:00 pm     Competition

12:15 pm     Departure

 

Medals will be presented to the members of the winning team and certificates to those finishing in 2nd and 3rd place. These will not be issued during the day as there is a second competition in the afternoon.

 

The top team in Year 1 and/or 2 and Year 3 and/or 4 will then be invited to represent the South Norfolk SSP at the Norfolk School Games Tri-Golf Finals at Norwich Family Golf Centre, Bawburgh GC.

Please note that Schools are responisble for the transport, arrival and departure of their pupils. Schools should bring their own first aid kit and are responsible for the first aid to their students.

Photo/Video Consent:

We use a variety of digital and social media to promote all of our events including our SSP website, Facebook/Twitter profiles. Please ensure you make SSP staff aware of any children without photo/video consent prior to the start of the event. These children will be asked to wear a yellow armband throughout the event which will indicate that no photographs/videos should be taken of them.
