This event forms part of the Norfolk School Games.

Format:

The competition is open to students in Years 7, 8 & 9 and 10. Students will compete in the following events:

Track events

* 100m

* 200m

* 300m (Y8, 9 & 10 Girls, Y8 & 9 Boys)

* 400m (Y10 Boys only)

* 800m

* 1,500m

* 4 x 100m Relay

Field events

* Discus

* Javelin

* Shot Putt

* High Jump

* Long Jump

* Triple Jump (Y10 only)

Pupils are only eligible to compete in their own age group and can do a maximum of 3 events (2 x field + 1 x track or 1 x field + 2 x track) PLUS the relay. 

1 representative is required in each event with the exception of the 100m and 200m which should have 2 entries. 

Timings:

9:00 am     Arrival/Registration

9:15 am     Welcome & Briefing

9:30 am - 3:00 pm     Competition

3:15 pm     Results/Presentation

3:30 pm     Departure

The winner of each individual event will then be invited to represent the South Norfolk SSP at the Norfolk School Games Y7-10 Athletics Finals.

Please note that Schools are responisble for the transport, arrival and departure of their pupils. Schools should bring their own first aid kit and are responsible for the first aid to their students.

Photo/Video Consent:

We use a variety of digital and social media to promote all of our events including our SSP website, Facebook/Twitter profiles. Please ensure you make SSP staff aware of any children without photo/video consent prior to the start of the event. These children will be asked to wear a yellow armband throughout the event which will indicate that no photographs/videos should be taken of them.
