This event forms part of the Norfolk School Games.

Format:

The event is open to students in Years 7-13. Students will compete as individuals and there are no gender restrictions.

Competitors are asked to bring 2-3 plastic tubs (bait boxes, recycled food tubs, etc.) to put their bait in.

Pupils MUST have a rod fishing license to be able to take part in this event. They are FREE for young people aged 12-16 years old and can be applied for via https://www.gov.uk/fishing-licences/buy-a-fishing-licence.

Timings:

9:30 am     Arrival/Registration

9:45 am     Welcome & Briefing

10:00 am - 2:00 pm     Competition

2:15 pm     Results/Presentation

2:30 pm     Departure

Medals will be presented to the top three placed finishers.

The top two teams will then be invited to represent the South Norfolk SSP at the Norfolk School Games Y7-13 Angling Finals at Barford Lakes. Team one will consist of finishers 1,2 and 3. Team two will consist of finishers 4,5 and 6.

Please note that Schools are responisble for the transport, arrival and departure of their pupils. Schools should bring their own first aid kit and are responsible for the first aid to their students.

Photo/Video Consent:

We use a variety of digital and social media to promote all of our events including our SSP website, Facebook/Twitter profiles. Please ensure you make SSP staff aware of any children without photo/video consent prior to the start of the event. These children will be asked to wear a yellow armband throughout the event which will indicate that no photographs/videos should be taken of them.
