Description

This event forms part of the Norfolk School Games.

Entry is open to all High schools within the South Norfolk SSP via booking on the SSP website.

Timings:

3:15 pm Arrival, registration and briefing

3:30-4.50 pm Competition

4.50 pm Presentation

5 pm Departure

Certificates are awarded to the teams finishing in 1st,  2nd and 3rd place.

The team finishing first will then be invited to represent the South Norfolk SSP at the Norfolk School Games on the 11th February at the UEA Sportspark.

Please note that Schools are responisble for the transport, arrival and departure of their pupils. Schools should bring their own first aid kit and are responsible for the first aid to their students.

Photo/Video Consent:

We use a variety of digital and social media to promote all of our events including our SSP website, Facebook/Twitter profiles. Please ensure you make SSP staff aware of any children without photo/video consent prior to the start of the event. These children will be asked to wear a yellow armband throughout the event which will indicate that no photographs/videos should be taken of them. Schools are required to complete a photo consent form prior to competition.

Basic rules

Schools are invited to bring a squad of up to 12.  Teams of seven compete (six court players and one goal keeper)

Only the goalkeeper is allowed in the ‘D’.

If an attacker enters the D, the goalkeeper restarts play.

If a defender enters the D, a penalty is awarded to the attacking team.

A player shouldn’t take more than three steps while inpossession of the ball.

A player shouldn’t stand still with the ball for more thanthree seconds.

Once a goal is scored, play restarts with the conceding team from the centre line.
