Old Buckenham, Archbsihop Sancroft Tag Rugby

Whilst it was a cold and wet Tuesday afternoon 60 year five and six pupils enjoyed an afternoon of tag rugby at Old Buckenham High School.

The tournament was played as a round robin format and a number of the matches played were very close and exciting to watch.

Most pupils were able to contribute to the games played either by scoring a try, ‘tagging’ a player, preventing a try from being scored or intercepting a pass.

Thanks must go to the Sports Leaders from the high school, each of them was in charge of a school and they warmed the pupils up and then coached the team from the sideline, also three of the sports leaders helped to referee the games played. They all did a fantastic job.

The winning team were Alburgh with Denton, runners up Harleston, followed by Kenninghall, Banham and Pulham.

The following teams will represent the Diss and Archbishop Sancroft families at the Partnership finals on February 11th at Wymondham Rugby Club: Alburgh with Denton, Harleston and Kenninghall.
