Diss Cluster Hi 5 Netball

It was a great day for 100 pupils from Dickleburgh, Roydon, Burston, Tivetshall, and Garboldisham who between them fielded 12 teams to compete in the Diss Cluster Hi 5 netball competition.

To begin with the sports leaders from the high school warmed the players up and then taught them some basic netball skills in preparation for the tournament which followed.

It was really good to see the pupils develop their game play throughout the tournament and the Sports leaders’ did an amazing job of coaching them during the tournament.

The tournament was played as a league format and the overall winners were Garboldisham 1, runners up Garboldisham 2 and third place going to Roydon 1.

A special mention must go to the children who picked up the Sportsmanship Awards these were the children who really worked really hard in their teams and showed great team spirit throughout the afternoon.

A big thanks must go to the Sports Leaders from Diss High School were superb at coaching and officiating. They really enabled the young people to make lots of progress and have lots of fun at the same time.
