ASHS Cluster Sportshall Athletics Year 5/6

On Thursday 7th December at Archbishop Sancroft High School, Harleston Cluster hosted the Primary Schools Sportshall Athletics Competition for Year 5 and 6.

Six teams competed with a squad of 20 athletes who took part in a number of track relays and field events including chest push, vertical jump, standing long jump, standing triple jump, speed bounce and javelin throwing.

There was an amazing atmosphere throughout the event with all the children really getting into the spirit of the games. Six children one from each team were presented with a special sportsmanship award for showing their determination and support for their teams.

Sports Leaders from Archbishop Sancroft High School were brilliant in scoring and managing the event which enabled over 120 pupils to take part.

Congratulations to Alburgh Primary School who won the Year 5/6  Event.

Good luck to Alburgh Primary school who will now go on to represent Harleston Cluster in the small schools at the South Norfolk SSP Event and Harleston Primary who will represent ASHS in the large schools South Norfolk SSP Event in January.
