Diss Cluster KS1 Sports Day

On Thursday 5th July over 150 Key Stage 1 children from All Saints, Garboldisham, Roydon and St Andrews enjoyed an afternoon of exciting activities at Diss High School.

The afternoon began with the children taking part in six enjoyable activities focussing on agility, balance and coordination skills. The fun games involved balancing on beams, running over and under obstacles, water based activities – carrying water in cups through and over obstacles and using fishing nets to catch obstacles in a paddling pool, limbo challenges, parachute and Frisbee games plus many more. They then stopped for a picnic lunch on the school field. A further six activities were played after lunch. All of the pupils taking part had an enjoyable afternoon and had lots of fun trying to master some of the activities.

The whole event was organised by the Diss High Schools Sports Leaders, they planned and led the activities, sorted the necessary equipment and planned the paperwork needed for the event to run smoothly on the day. They also assisted in leading the activities. All of the sports leaders did a fantastic job on the day and it was brilliant to see them engage and interact so well with the young people and encourage them to have lots of fun.

A very enjoyable day was had by all the children and well done to everyone who took part.
