ASHS Cluster Swimming Gala 2018

On Wednesday 31st October 2018 the ASHS Cluster swimming gala took place at Archbishop Sancroft High School Swimming Pool. Children from Year 4, 5 and 6 participated in the competition from three schools including Alburgh with Denton, Harleston and Pulham Primary Schools.

The teams competed in 4 events over the 25m distance; the events included Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly. These events were followed by exciting team relays where the children enthusiastically cheered on their team mates. Throughout the gala there was some exciting races and brilliant swimming.

Once the competition was complete a girl and a boy from each school was presented with a sportsmanship award to recognise the high level of determination/ encouragement they had shown throughout the competition.

Thank you to the three sports leaders from ASHS who helped me on the day recording times. Thank you to Tim Millet who also helped with the running of the competition on the day.

Congratulations to all competitors, teachers, teaching assistants, who all contributed to an enjoyable and exciting swimming gala. 18 children have now qualified to represent the ASHS Cluster at the South Norfolk School Sport Competition at Wymondham Leisure Centre on Thursday 24th January 2019.
