ASHS Cluster Sportshall Athletics 2018

Schools from the ASHS Cluster took part in a Year 3&4 and Year 5&6 Sportshall Athletics event, on Thursday 29th November and Thursday 6th December at Archbishop Sancroft High School.

The field events took place first providing children the opportunity to take part in Hi Stepper, Chest Push, Speed Bounce, Javelin throwing and Standing Long and Triple Jump or 5 strides. It was then on to the exciting relays, the determination on every single child’s face was amazing. The atmosphere was incredible and each team showed great sportsmanship towards every team.

Throughout the event, all the teachers looked very closely at their team to see who showed the Spirit of the Games values.  It was a tough decision but 1 girl and 1 boy from each team was selected for showing great respect towards all who took part, they not only cheered for their team in each event but also cheered for every other school as well.

The event would not have been possible without the amazing help shown by staff and the sports leaders from Archbishop Sancroft High School, I would like to give a massive thank you to all who contributed and helped out.

Well done to all the schools that competed in our Sportshall Athletics events and a massive congratulations to Alburgh Primary (Year 3&4), and Alburgh Primary (Year 5&6) who go on to represent the ASHS Cluster at the South Norfolk SSP Finals on Wednesday 30th January 2019 at Framingham Earl High School.
