Engage Handball

On Monday 14th March, the Year 7-8 Boys Engage Handball event was held at Framingham Earl High School. Players/ teams that displayed School Games Values and fair play were celebrated alongside the results. TEAMWORK was the main School Games Value focus for this event!!

4 schools, (Archbishop Sancroft, Framingham Earl, Old Buckenham and Long Stratton) competed against each other in a round robin. The teams could bring a squad of 10 boys from Year 7-8 with the matches being played for 10 minutes. Teams started with 1 GK and 6 outfield players.

After some great performances from all the players involved, the final results were:

1.Framingham Earl

2. Long Stratton

3. Old Buckenham

4. Archbishop Sancroft

The event provided a great opportunity for the pupils to come represent their school in a sports event. All the pupils were engaged, active and improved across the competition. As a result of today, we encourage schools to provide the children the opportunity to develop further by putting on clubs after school, lunchtime and before school as well as encourage the players to join a local community club.

Big thanks to Ben Clements for officiating all the matches.
