KS1 Cricket Festival

Tuesday 29th March saw 7 schools and 156 pupils take part in our KS1 Cricket Festival at Hethersett and Tas Valley Cricket Club. The morning session involved schools from Browick Road, Loddon, Wicklewood and Wreningham. The afternoon schools were Brooke, Surlingham and Rockland.

The pupils all took part in 5 stations which were run by Norfolk Cricket Board and supported by Framingham Earl Sports Leaders. All of the stations were based on the fundamental cricket skills bowling, batting and fielding.

Despite the cold weather there was lots of smiling children who had lots of fun learning new skills.

Pupils Stated:

"I enjoyed playing the big game"

"I loved getting 4s when we were throwing the ball to each other"

If the pupils enjoyed the sessions make sure you get involved in the Norfolk All Stars summer cricket programme. Every participant recieves their very own personalised kit bag including bat, ball, cap and t-shirt. To sign up www.allstars.co.uk

Big thanks to Norfolk Cricket Board for running the stations at todays event. Thanks to the leaders from Framingham Earl High School and Hethersett and Tas Valley Cricket CLub for allowing us to use their facilities.

Well done to all pupils involved. Hope you all had lots of fun!
