Mini Tennis Serves up a lot of fun!

The South Norfolk School Sports Partnership has recently hosted the Compete Mini Tennis event. Groups of year 3-4 children from Poringland Primary, Trowse Primary, Stoke Holy Cross, Loddon Junior, St Marys Junior, and Newton Flotman Primary took part in the event which not only aims to get more children involved in tennis but also to find the teams who will represent South Norfolk at the Norfolk School Games in July.

Sports leaders from Framingham Earl High school provided the workforce for the event. Being trained prior to the event by Tom Kenny (NTA). Martin Coates who runs coaching programmes at Brooke Tennis Club also helped support the event and passed on to school’s local club information.

Laura Goodswen, School Games Organiser said, “The focus is providing a fun and enjoyable event for the children whilst helping them to develop their physical skills”.

Following the event pupils said how they felt proud of themselves and liked having fun at their local high school.
