Fram Slam girls U14 Basketball success!!

Framingham Earl High School girls U14 basketball team have just completed a string of wins, which took them from County Champions to Winners of the Eastern Region!  The game took place at Framingham Earl High School where they took on Greneway High, Champions of the Hertfordshire League. The Framingham Earl girls had already beaten the Cambridge and Peterborough Champions to make it into the Eastern Regional Final!

Charlotte Bonham completed the first quarter as top scorer on 6 points with Fram Slam struggling at this point Greneway 15 and Fram Slam 12.  Amy Minter East of England U13, was without doubt the star of the match going on to control the boards at both ends of the court and to eventually hit 26 points.  Hot shot Daveen McCourt went on to score 12 points and the girls eventually won 42-32.

Parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, friends and teachers all supported the girls to victory which was very much appreciated by all members of the team.

I would like to wish the team lots of luck as they enter the zone round leaving only 12 schools in this National Competition.  The game is to be played on Monday 28th March 2011 at Framingham Earl High School at 3.45pm.
