Norwich East are Cross Country Champs!

With nearly 500 children competing across years 3, 4, 5 and 6 and a large sea of parents arriving, the competition atmosphere was hotting up as competitors and team managers took to their places in their partnership zones.

If pre match nerves and excitement were felt the night before the race, they certainly were felt at the partnership zones as the sight of the start line heading around the Hogwarts like school grounds lay before them.

Once the final races were complete, suspense grew as the results were calculated to determine which partnership won the prestigious County Final Trophy. Congratulations to Norwich East for winning the overall team trophy, pipping West Norfolk to second, with South Norfolk in 3rd.

Miek Crossley, Headmaster at Taverham Hall said,''  'It was wonderful to see the grounds of Taverham Hall School used to such good effect in Friday's Spring sunshine, with excellent sportsmanship, fierce competition and some first class cross-country running taking place'

Stuart Brunton – Douglas, ‘’ May I see a huge thank you to our hosts Taverham Hall for their hospitality. This is an excellent Cross Country venue and to give nearly 500 children the experience of running a cross country in these grounds can only give them a positive sporting experience.’’
