On Monday 27th January Archbishop Sancroft, Diss and Framingham Earl High School took part in South Norfolk SSP year 7-8 Dance Festival. This was only the second time South Norfolk have offered a dance festival and we were looking forward to seeing what creativity and choreography the pupils had to offer.
The event began with a warm up and workshop led by a dance instructor from Stagecoach Norwich. Each school had time to practice their routine and then performed for 2 judges. It was fantastic to see such unique performances. Each group was scored across 5 different categories music, choreography, costume design, performance and overall impact. The results across all 5 categories where then averaged to give a final score. The final results were as follows:
1st Framingham Earl High School
2nd Diss High School
3rd Archbishop Sancroft High School
I would like to say a huge thank you to all who were involved and helped with this competition. I look forward to seeing more exciting performances from schools next year.
