Sportshall Athletics Success

On Monday 28h November, Sportshall UK delivered our Year 7 Sportshall Athletics at the UEA Sportspark. This competition was a COMPETE EVENT for pupils who are competitive in nature and enjoy performing and competing against others. Pupils that displayed School Games Values were celebrated alongside the results. Schools attending included Hobart High School, Wymondham College, Framingham Earl and Old Buckenham High School.

 

The day provided the Year 7 pupils (squads of 16 – 8 boys and 8 girls) the opportunity to represent their schools and take part in the following track and field activities.

  • 2 lap relay
  • 4 lap relay
  • 6 lap relay
  • 8 lap paarlauf
  • 4 x 2 lap relay
  • Speed Bounce
  • Shot
  • Standing Triple Jump
  • Standing Long Jump
  • Vertical Jump

 

All the pupils were engaged, active and improved across the competition After some great performances from all the teams involved, the results were announced. These were as follows.

 

Girls- 1st Wymondham College, 2nd Framingham Earl 2, 3rd Hobart, 4th Framingham Earl 1, 5th Old Buckenham.

Boys- 1st Wymondham College, 2nd Hobart, 3rd Framingham Earl 1, 4th Old Buckenham, 5th Framingham Earl 2.

 

Overall, it was a fantastic afternoon with a brilliant atmosphere throughout and great performances on show from all schools and teams that were involved. Thank you to Adam from Sportshall UK for leading the event on our behalf and to the sports leaders from Easton College who were amazing and helped with judging both the track and field events and encouraged/supported the pupils to perform their activities.
