Fun morning at the Learning & Discovery Event

This year the Learning and Discovery Personal Challenge Festival was themed around the School Games Value Passion. The event was held at Long Stratton Leisure Centre and was a huge success with many happy, smiley faces with ALL pupils having FUN!

This event was an ENGAGE themed event with many pupils in attendance experiencing their very first School Games event. The festival focus was to provide a new opportunity and experience to inspire pupils to participate and enjoy sport together in inclusive activities. All the pupils learnt some brilliant new skills whilst also understanding how important it is to be inclusive so that EVERYONE can enjoy sport together.

Throughout the festival pupils took part in six activities including:

  • Blindfold Maze- Guided Athletics
  • Bullseye- Golf
  • Sudoku- Team Building
  • Slide to Score- New Age Kurling
  • Take it with you- Team Building
  • Breakout Station- Learning about SGV Passion and playing what’s missing?

A pupils from one school commented

" This event is great I cannot wait to come back again”.

A teacher stated:

"Very enjoyable morning, very beneficial for the children”.

A big thank you to Long Stratton Leisure Centre for hosting our event and to our leaders from Long Stratton High School.
