Football Festival

On Thursday 30th March saw boys from year 7-8 from 3 South Norfolk SSP secondary schools battle it out at Long Stratton Leisure Centre in our boy’s development football festival. This festival was an opportunity to engage new audiences and for schools to select pupils who had not represented their school in fixtures this academic year.

All teams were ready and eager to go from the outset and it was clear that all teams were well prepared, organised on the pitch and confident. The festival consisted of a round robin with all 6 teams competing against each other.

 The results were:

1st Hobart 1

2nd Framingham Earl 2

3rd Hobart 3

4th Framingham Earl 2

5th Long Stratton 2

6th Long Stratton 1

One teacher commented “The afternoon was a great experience for these pupils, and all had a great time”.

Congratulations to all players who participated in the festival, coaches and teachers who helped make the event go so well and a fun afternoon for all involved. Special thanks to Long Stratton Leisure Centre for the use of their pitches and facilities. A massive thank you to the leaders from Long Stratton High School for refereeing.
