Monday 10th July saw 7 schools and 150 pupils take part in our KS1 Cricket Festival at Hethersett and Tas Valley Cricket Club. The morning session involved schools from Alburgh with Denton, Bunwell, Woodton and Wreningham. The afternoon schools were Carleton Rode, Pulham and Roydon.
The pupils all took part in 3 stations which were run by Norfolk Cricket Board and supported by Wymondham High Academy Leaders. All of the stations were based on the fundamental cricket skills bowling, batting and fielding.
There was lots of smiling children who had lots of fun learning new skills.
Pupils Stated:
"I enjoyed playing the big game"
"I loved getting 4s when we were throwing the ball to each other"
If the pupils enjoyed the sessions make sure you get involved in one of the clubs which are local to you.
Big thanks to Norfolk Cricket Board for running the stations at todays event. Thanks to the leaders from Wymondham High Academy and Hethersett and Tas Valley Cricket CLub for allowing us to use their facilities.
