Harleston Cluster Quadkids

On Thursday 3rd of May saw the very first Archbishop Sancroft cluster Quadkids Athletics event. It was with great pleasure that Harleston Primary School was able to host cluster qualifying event. Blessed with glorious sunshine, the afternoon’s events saw Year 4 pupils competing in a 50m sprint, 400m run, standing long jump and vortex howler throwing. There were some fantastic performances throughout the afternoon and those teams that were successful will qualify for the South Norfolk School Sport Partnership event to be held at the UEA, Sportspark on Wednesday 23rd May.

Building on their leadership responsibilities, we were very proud of our eleven year 5 young sports leaders who oversaw the day’s events with poise and dedication. The school staff commented on the enthusiasm and professionalism with which the sports leaders carried out their duties and said they would only be too pleased to work with them again in the future.

Well done to everybody who competed on the day, you were all fantastic. Good luck to those through to the finals!
