On Thursday 14th March 7 South Norfolk SSP secondary schools took part in the boys development football festival at Long Stratton Leisure Centre. This festival was an opportunity to engage new audiences in year 7/8 and for schools to select pupils who had not represented their school in fixtures this academic year.
All teams were ready and eager to go from the outset and it was clear that all teams were well prepared, organised on the pitch and confident. The festival consisted of a two 6 team round robins (Year 7 and Year 8) with all teams competing against each other.
One teacher commented “The afternoon was a great experience for these pupils, very enjoyable and a great atmosphere”.
“A fantastic opportunity for pupils”.
Congratulations to all players who participated in the festival, coaches and teachers who helped make the event go so well and a fun afternoon for all involved. Special thanks to Long Stratton Leisure Centre for the use of their pitches and facilities. A massive thank you to the leaders from Long Stratton High School for refereeing.
