Max Grant Between £50,000 and £100,000 for projects lasting up until March 2011.

Who can apply?

Voluntary and third sector organisations

Deadline 19th November 2009

The Youth Leadership Fund is part of the Youth of Today programme, a major youth leadership programme for young people aged 13-19 that aims to increase the quality and diversity of opportunities for young people as leaders of change in their communities. The initiative is focused on targeting young people who are disadvantaged.

Grant applications are sought from voluntary and third sector organisations in England that meet the following aims:

- Support and build the capacity of the voluntary and community sector, enabling organisations to impact on delivery and support of high quality youth leadership opportunities to disadvantaged young people/marginalised groups across England, focusing particularly on young people who have not had the opportunity to lead before.

- Support organisations or partnerships to work collaboratively to create leadership pathways.

- Contribute to the building of a lasting, sustainable infrastructure for youth leadership beyond March 2011.

- Work across a wide geographical area.

Youth of Today Scaling Up Fund

 Max Grant Between £5,000 and £30,000

Who can apply?

Small third sector organisations

Deadline 11th December 2009

Information The Youth of Today Scaling Up Fund invites applications from small third sector organisations in England to address key challenges of how to scale-up innovative youth leadership programmes and reach out across communities. In total, £0.5 million will be distributed, which equates to 30 grants of between £5,000 and £20,000.

The grants aim to:

- help more young people take on leadership roles in their community;

- create more opportunities for young people to influence the decisions affecting them;

- raise the quality of youth leadership opportunities;

- enable small organisations to grow; and

- fund innovative projects that are unlikely to find funding from other sources.

 The grant should be used to develop and expand youth leadership programmes - including delivery costs, staff costs and small capital items.
