BT, Nations and Regional Schools Technology!

BT and Nations and Regions East (NRE) are delighted to announce the launch of the BT NRE School Technology Challenge for 2010.  We are inviting schools from across the region to form teams, take on the BT NRE Challenge and live the Olympic and Paraylympic Values of friendship, excellence, respect, courage, inspiration, determination and equality.

The challenge…

How can technology help encourage, inspire and motivate young people and their families to enjoy a healthier lifestyle?

The challenge is cross-curriculum and designed to fit within the KS3 and 4 personal, learning and thinking skills (PLTS) framework and the KS2 Key Skills and Thinking Skills.  To take part in the challenge schools must be registered on the London 2012 Get Set website and enter a team of six along with an adult mentor.  Further information about the challenge and how to take part can be found at www.london2012.com/getseteast

There will be winners for KS2, KS3 and KS4 for each of the six county areas in the region, these teams will then be invited to attend a regional final on 2nd July 2010 where they will be invited to present their work to a panel of judges. Overall Regional winners for each of the three key stages will then be chosen.  The closing date for the challenge is 1st June 2010.

Nations and Regions East (NRE) is a representative group to coordinate and champion 2012 Games related strategic issues across the East of England with the aim of maximising benefit to the region from the London Games.  More information about Nations and Regions East can be found at
