SNSSP Swimming Gala 2020

On Tuesday 25th February, Y4/5/6 swimmers from across South Norfolk School Sport Partnership competed in a gala at Wymondham Leisure Centre. Over 120 pupils took part in a number of races, including; Frontcrawl, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. There was also time for some freestyle and medley relays.

During the gala we witnessed some fantastic performances. The noise created by the supporting teams and parents really encouraged those in the pool to achieve some great times. Although races were timed, the objective of the gala was for pupils to experience the nature of competition for the first time.

Once the program of events had been completed it proved to be Framingham Earl Cluster who emerged victorious, taking first place from Hobart Cluster by the slight margin of 1 point. Congratulations to them for a fantastic effort, but also to all the swimmers and clusters who came along and competed with great enthusiasm. The final placings were...

1st Framingham Earl Cluster

2nd Hobart Cluster

3rd Wymondham Cluster

4th Archbishop Sancroft Cluster

5th Long Stratton Cluster

6th Old Buckenham Cluster

A big thank you to our sports leaders from Wymondham High Academy who were time keeping and to our starter Darren.

Well done to everyone who took part and keep up the training!
