South Norfolk Success in Virtual Events

Congratulations to all South Norfolk Secondary and Primary schools who got involved with the Norfolk School Games virtual competitions which ran through the autumn term.

The target sports were sportshall athletics, gymnastics, tri golf and cross country for Primary Schools and for Secondary Schools they were sportshall athletics, dance and cross country. All of the activities provided challenges for the pupils and schools collated the results and uploaded them to the Norfolk School Games website.

Across the term 4298 primary pupils and 1118 secondary aged pupils from 28 South Norfolk Schools took part in the challenges. It was great to see some schools embracing physical activity and promoting 60 active minutes across their whole school.

South Norfolk SSP continues to support our schools this term by providing challenge activities in panathlon, multi skills, personal challenge for Primary and panathlon, personal challenge and virtual leadership academy for secondary. The aim for this term is to keep as many pupils actively engaged in physical activity whether it be at home or at school.

There will also be weekly challenges published each week that can be completed at home. These will can be found on our twitter account @southnorfolkssp

Well done to all pupils who took part over the autumn term and I am looking forward to seeing more pupils completing the challenges this term.
