This Girl Can- Inspiring movement for life!

75 year 9+ girls from Archbishop Sancroft, Diss, Long Stratton, Hobart and Old Buckenham High Schools spent the day at Long Stratton Leisure Centre on Thursday 16th June at our This Girl Can Festival. The focus for the festival was self-belief and the girls showed this in abundance as they gave their all throughout the day. They all had a go at Zumba, Pilates, Circuit Training and Spinning.

Today’s event has been fantastic with many of the girls engaging with an SSP event for the very first time. The project has been funded by the Commonwealth Games Legacy funding and the aim was to introduce girls to activities they may not have experienced before that will inspire them to join a local leisure centre or local sports club outside of school. Today’s big event followed on from the in-school workshops we have delivered to 7 of the SSP high Schools.

Thank you to Long Stratton Leisure centre for hosting the day as well as providing the four deliverers. All of the pupils received a certificate of participation along with a timetable of activities at Long Stratton Leisure Centre and a free session voucher.
