Inclusive Health Check

The Inclusive Health Check can be accessed via your dashboard on the School Games website. The resource has been designed in partnership with the English Federation of Disability Sport and allows you to self-review your provision of inclusive School Games opportunities.  

What it is?

The Inclusive Health Check is a self-review tool available to School Games registered schools on an annual basis. It allows its users to improve best practice, access key resources, and develop an action plan. 

It takes the form of a simple self-review made up of just 20 questions which all require no more than a yes/no answer.  There is no pass/fail associated with the IHC.

Why you should complete the IHC?

• Helps your school reflect on your current school games provision and how inclusive this is for all young people in your school.
• Identify strengths and also establish the areas for development which could then be supported by your Primary PE and Sport Premium.  
• Signposted to additional resources.
• Tips to support you in the next steps of ensuring your sport provision is inclusive for all. 
• Lead to increased opportunites, increased participation and celebration of success which can be shared with children, parents and Ofsted.
