Change for Life Clubs

At South Norfolk SSP, we support the national Change 4 Life programme which is designed to increase physical activity levels among the least active pupils. All the activities are designed to be delivered in a fun, exciting and inspirational environment that will increase pupils self-confidence, resilience and self esteem with the overall aim to inspire pupils to take part in regular physical activity and engage in school sport.

Change4Life Sports Clubs are designed to increase physical activity levels in less active children in primary schools by:

– Using multi-sport themes.

– Using the inspiration of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

– Responding to what children want.

– Establishing a habit of regular participation.

– Changing behaviours relating to key health outcomes (including healthy eating, physical activity and emotional health).

How can I find out more?

A range of guidance and resources are available to support your school in establishing and refreshing your own Chanage4Life Sports Club. In addition, we would recommend that schools contact the School Games Organiser (SGO) for advice, guidance and support for setting up a Change4Life Sports Club in their school.

What support is on offer?

If you’ve already set up a Change4Life Sports Club in your school, the C4L website offers a wide variety of free downloadable resources to help you. In addition, there is a toolkit full of ideas to help your clubs plan and deliver celebratory events.

Schools can access free Change 4 Life resources here.
