Year 3-4 Play Leaders- Leading Participation

Overview of the Programme

The active leaders are a diverse group of young people in schools who work together to have a positive impact on physical activity and school sport. The will aim to promote the School Games programme, encourage physical activity, advocate the School Games Values and raise the profile of PE and school sport in your school. The young people involved in the active leaders will learn and develop a range of leadership, teamworkm communication and organisational skills.

Target Group

Year 3-4- Whole Class or targeted delivery.

Resources/ Workshops

Schools will be provided with all the resources needed to run the mini leaders training. Free Virtual Training (13th November) will be provided by Norfolk PE Support Service. 

In school external delivery is available to any Norfolk School for a cost of £300/ day.

Tasks Post Training

On completion of the mini leaders training pupils will be provided with a leadership passport with ideas for how they can continue their work in school. All pupils who complete the passport will be provided with a certificate which recognises their contribution to increasing physical activity in their school and helping inspire others. Schools can request  the free PDF version to print or purchsase the pre printed version.
